I see a number of different display resolution choices under 'Scaled', but no 'Larger Text'. I've looked at that 'Display' window many times while trying various things. What I'm saying is that those 'Larger Text' options simply do not appear when connecting to my Sony 4K TV. You can use the Display settings under System Preferences to make the text larger. Has anyone experienced this and found a real solution? I was going to do a chat with Apple Support, but as far as I can tell that's no longer an option.
I'm using that now, but it's a awkward workaround. The replies to a post on an Apple Community forum from a 'Catalina' user with the same problem suggest that there is no real solution except a couple of Zoom functions. Internet searching has shown that many users have a 'Larger Text' choice on the 'System Preferences', 'Display' window, but nothing I've tried has made such a choice appear. The problem is that everything on the screen is too small to be usable. It's attached to a Sony 4K TV with HDMI 2.0 and running 'Scaled' at 3840x2160 60Hz. I just received a Mac Mini M1 and want to use it as a living room/HTPC computer. (Apologies for any ignorant questions this is my first modern Mac.)
